لقي عسكري موريتاني مصرعه وأصيب 8 آخرون ، من بينهم ثلاثة إصابات بالغة، في هجوم استهدف الكتيبة الموريتانية لحفظ السلام ، التي كانت تؤمن قافلة أممية ، في قرية ALINDAO (جمهورية وسط إفريقيا)  ، فيما تم قتل اربعين مهاجما ــ حسب إيجاز صحفي للجيش الموريتاني  هذا نصه  ــ :

 

هاجمت عناصر من ميليشيات Antibalaka صباح اليوم 17 مايو 2018 في قرية ALINDAO (جمهورية وسط إفريقيا) دورية من الكتيبة الموريتانية لحفظ السلام كانت تؤمن قافلة أممية.

وقد أسفر الهجوم عن استشهاد عسكري وإصابة 8 آخرين بجروح من بينهم ثلاثة إصابات بالغة فيما تم قتل اربعين مهاجما.

وبهذه المناسبة الأليمة ترفع الاركان العامة للجيوش تعازيها لأسرة الشهيد وتمنياتها بالتعافي السريع للجرحى وتؤكد عزمها على مواصلة العمل ضمن القوة الاممية لحفظ السلام وتمسكها بحقها المشروع في الدفاع عن النفس وفقا لقواعد الاشتباك السارية في المهمة.
