انطلق اليوم الخميس بالعاصمة الموريتانية نواكشوط اجتماع وزراء خارجية الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد الافريقي، الممهد لقمة رؤساء الدول والحكومات التي تنطلف في الأول والثاني من الشهر الجاري.
ويناقش وزارء خارجية الاتحاد الافريقي في اجتماعاتهم مواضيع عدة ،ابرزها المجاعة التي تضرب أجزاء من القارة، والفساد الذي تعتبره المنظمة القارية عائقا في وجه تقدم افريقيا، ويثير الكثير من الجدل في أروقة المنظمة.
كما تشمل المواضيع المطروحة في هذه الاجتماعات ميزانية الاتحاد الافريقي، حيث تعمل الدول الأعضاء على تطبيق مقررات كيغالي القاضية بتخصيص نسبة 0.2 من الواردات الخارجية لكل دولة لتمويل المنظمة.
هذا بالاضافة إلة العنف في القارة الإفريقة، حيث تعاني عدة دول من أعضاء المنظمة من موجات عنف متفاوتة الخطور، مما يؤثر على التنمية في هذه الدول
