قام المرشح سيدي محمد ولد بوبكر زيارة للجنة المستقلة للإنتخابات واجتمع خلالها برئيس اللجنة المستقلة للإنتخابات وأعضائها.
وخلال هذا الإجتماع تم تناول القضايا المتعلقة بتحضير الإنتخابات المقبلة وطريقة تنظيمها والضمانات المتعلقة بحسن وسير العملية.
وقد اكد المرشح أهمية وضرورة تنظيم انتخابات شفافة ونزيهة وأهمية ذلك بالنسبة للديمقراطية.
وقد كان سيدي محمد محاطا بأعضاء من حملته: الحضرامي ولد عبد السلام مدير الحملة ومحمد ولد معاويَ وجوب آبدول هامت وأحمد جدّو ولد عال ومحمد محمود ولد بكار.
