ويعد ولد ببكر المرشح الرئاسي الوحيد الذي حضر لمران المنتخب على أرض الوطن قبل السفر لمعسكري تدريبي، ومنه إلى مصر لخوض غمار نهائيات كأس الأمم الإفريقية كان2019.
ولاقت خطوة ولد ببكر التشجيعية استحسان الجمهور الرياضي في موريتانيا.
