كنت بنيويورك في مهمة عمل واتيحت لي فرصة لقاء رئيس الجمهورية ومدير الديوان ووزير الخارجية مع افراد من جاليتنا بامريكا وقد دار الحديث حول مشاكل الجاليات المغتربة وطرحنا جميعا المشاكل الملحة مثل:
-ازدواجية الجنسية : حيث يعتبر إجبار المغترب الحامل لجواز سفر اجنبي علي اخذ التاشيرة لدخول بلاده إهانة له
- الحالة المدنية: حيث يعاني الكثير من المغتربين وأبنائهم من صعوبة الحصول علي الوثائق المدنية
- إدماج المغتربين في تسيير شؤون البلد والاستفادة من خبراتهم.
- تشجيع المستثمرين من الجاليات المغتربة ومنحهم حوافز ضريبية و جمركية علي غرار جاليات دول الجوار.
كان حوارا مثمرا وبناء و صريحا التمست فيه ان هناك إرادة حقيقية لإدماج الجاليات المغتربة في الحياة السياسية والاقتصادية للبلد ، كما أن هناك إرادة للنهوض بقطاعات حيوية مثل الزراعه، التنمية الحيوانية و الصيد البحري.
