أكد رئيس لجنة مراقبة الأهلية القاضي محمد محمود ولد غالي ثبوت رؤية هلال صفر، مضيفا أن "فاتح شهر صفر للسنة الهجرية 1441 سيكون غدا الاثنين الموافق 30 من سبتمبر 2019".
واجتمعت اللجنة للمرة الأولى في وزارة الشؤون الإسلامية.
وأشار ولد غالي إلى أن اللجنة اتصلت بجميع الولايات والمقاطعات، والمراكز الإدارية.
وكان وزير الشؤون الإسلامية والتعليم الأصلي الداه ولد أعمر طالب قرر مطلع الأسبوع الماضي، إعادة تشكيل لجنة مراقبة الأهلية، وقال إن القرار الجديد يدخل في إطار "الإصلاح الشامل" الذي تعكف عليه الحكومة الجديدة.
