قالت حكومة مالي في بيان إن 25 جنديا قتلوا واعتبر 60 في عداد المفقودين بعد أن هاجم من يشتبه بأنهم متطرفون معسكرين للجيش في وسط البلاد يوم الاثنين.
كانت السلطات قد قالت في وقت سابق إن مواقع عسكرية في بولكيسي وموندورو تعرضت لهجوم، لكنها لم تحدد عدد القتلى والمصابين.
وتحدث بيان رسمي عن أن كتيبة مالي بالقوة المشتركة لدول الساحل الخمس تعرضت لهجوم في "بولكيسي" غرب الحدود مع بوركينافاسو، مضيفا أنه وقعت "خسائر ثقيلة وأضرار بالغة".
من جانب آخر، نقلت إذاعة فرنسا الدولية عن مصادر أمنية مالية قولها، إن مسلحين هاجموا نقطة للجيش المالي في بلدة "موندورو"، وتسببت "طلقات طائشة في مقتل مدنيين اثنين على الأقل وجرح 3 آخرين".
وأضافت ذات المصادر أن المسلحين أخذوا معهم "سيارتين وجملين، وبعض الماعز".
