وقعت الأطراف المتقاتلة فى لرنب على اتفاقية جديدة في نواكشوط ، برعاية الحكومة الموريتانية.
وقد تعهد الطرفان بتجميد كل الأنشطة العسكرية ومواصلة التفاوض، والعمل من أجل تنفيذ خارطة الطريق التى أعدتها الحكومة الموريتانية، باعتبارها الجهة الضامنة للاتفاق والوسيط المختار من قبل كل الأطراف.
وتم توقيع الاتفاق من طرف رموز المجموعتين، مع توقيعه من قبل وزير الداخلية الدكتور محمد سالم ولد مرزوك والمستشار بالرئاسة الموريتانية أحميده ولد اباه.
