أكد مصدر عائلي أن السجين السابق بسجن غوانتانامو محمدو ولد صلاحي تسلم اليوم الخميس وصلا لجواز سفره، الذي ظل يطالب بالحصول عليه منذ سنوات.
وقال يحظيه ولد صلاحي، وهو شقيق المعني، إن السلطات استجابت أخيرا لحصول محمدو على حقه الطبيعي في الحصول على جواز سفر وعلى التنقل، خاصة أنه يعاني من أمراض تتطلب العلاج في مستشفيات بالخارج.
وكانت مصادر متطابقة قد أكدت أن الولايات المتحدة أوصت سلطات موريتانيا بمنع ولد صلاحي من الحصول على جواز سفر لمدة ثلاث سنوات بعد إطلاق سراحه.
